Four Suspects Charged in Vandalism Spree on Pelham Road

Four UMass students will be summoned to court for wanton destruction of property charges stemming from a destruction spree in the early hours of Friday morning. The four students were leaving a party on Pelham Road and were walking back to the UMass campus when they began destroying mailboxes and fences on Pelham Road and Main Street. Officers in the area were able to identify the four students based on the description provided to dispatchers by the reporting party. All four students, who had been consuming alcohol and are under 21 years of age, will face a charge of Wanton Destruction of Property under $250.
